Q: Okay, I renamed my browseui.dll folder in an have to install a new theme for my vista (I was unaware what could happen). Well I changed it to browseui.old.dll and logged off and on. I also changed oobefldr.dll to oobefldr.old.dll but I don't be sure if that affects me. Anyways, now that I rebooted my computer, explorer.exe does not work and I cannot access anything. I cannot use safe trend to see my desktop either. Then I downloaded browseui.dll from a website and rebooted, nothing. I got an error message 0xc0000142 saying it failed to pile etc.
What should I do? I have the file I just renamed it?
I would try and do that but I have no way to access any files.
A: Dialect mayhap delete browseui.old.dll and place browseui.dll in the original folder?

Q: Yes I am dispiriting to fix one of my friends computers. When I turn it on it comes up with a screen saying restore my active desk top. When I click to do that it doesn't interchange. When I try to click on internet explorer or anything else on the computer this is what comes up? Explorer has caused an error in browseui.dll Explorer will now close. If you endure to experience problems try restarting your computer. I have restarted the computer and the same thing happens every time. Anyone have any ideas what is inapt and how I can fix it? Thanks
I see some of you have given me good answers about this and I am wondering about the disk you are talking about all I have is a recovery disk for the computer. That is all she gave me when she brought it over here. If I click on the start button that error report comes up. I don't know how to get thru to anything to run a disk, spyware etc...
Thanks
