A: Perfunctory fix, that's the good news. take the vista service cd, put it into your drive and restart the computer. run the cd at system start up and you will be given the vista instalation utility. there is an selection below the install button that says "Fix computer" this will lok through your operating system for problems and automatically fix them. when it's done it will to all intents do an automatic system restore and oyu will be back to no error messages in no time, it's that easy.

Good luck!

Solutions: Windows 2000 Professional enables photo transfer to USB ...

I run Windows 2000 Past master, Service Pack 4. Do any programs exist that would allow me to transfer photos from the My Documents folder to a USB chic drive?

That version of Windows should have native support for USB flash drives. If your system is having problems recognizing a press, check the vendor's Web site to see if it has device-specific drivers. If you're asking how to move files, legitimate open a File Explorer window on the source and destination and drag and drop files from one to the other.

I have Windows Vista Bailiwick Premium and Microsoft Office 2007. How do I transfer e-mails saved in folders in Point of view to a external hard drive? I have business e-mail I would hate to lose in a crash.

Cogent idea! Saving them to a .PST (Outlook Personal Storage) file is what I would recommend. Here's how: Within Outlook, click Register, Import And Export. Click Export To File and then click Next. Click Personal Folder Place in order (.pst) and then click Next. Click the folder that you want to export to the .pst file and then click Next. Click Flip, and then select the location where you want the .pst file to be saved. Name the file and click OK, then Finish. Take back this procedure by choosing Import to restore your saved e-mails.
