Q:

A: If you are maddening to run a normal function or program, you can do the following:

In Run, do a check of your dll's type or paste in> dxdiag <in the run box.

If its a system place in order you can scan for files using the built in System File Checker.
To do this you will need your (or any ) windows disk and specimen or paste in the command prompt> sfc/ scannow <. this will fix or replace bad files.

If the files needed are in thingumajig drivers, you will need to re- install them as needed.

Note: Append to above Microsoft fix.

Belarc Advisor will do the same preoccupation and will give specific details and take you to Microsoft for a resolution of any failed updates and service packs.

DNSAPI Error after XP Recovery?

Q: Recently My computer got a collection of viruses so i ran malware bytes antimalware and it seemed to take care of all the virus/trojan issues... i resolute to use my windows xp recovery disks, but after i recovered my pc i got a pop up saying "not valid windows allusion... system32/dnsapi.dll." after i close the pop up by hitting enter, i just get a black screen with my mouse, and the cursor seems to be frozen... any suggestions?
i do have retrieval disks though... after "recovering my computer" i get to the starting windows screen with the care bar, then get the bad windows image pop up, and when i close the pop up, the computer has a black screen and is completely frozen.... same things take place with all the f8 options... any way of getting around this??

A: if your key copy is legit.. than you have choices



you can contact MICROSOFT and they will send you a replacement disk if it is a full windows reproduce.

im not going to say you can download one somewhere, if your key is legal, don't matter about the disk so much.. IF YOU HAVE A LEGAL CD KEY!!

if it is one of those hp or compaq types where th edisks are preloaded, you can buy those for 15 to 20 bucks, and as a rule be at your house within 3 days.

if your not legal, then buy it.. look at what it does for ya.
