does anyone recognise these error messages kb918547 has caused error in mmsystem.dll?

Q: also qttassk has caused error in gist 32 dll i have a compact presario com with windows millenium edition,the mouse is not registering on silver screen mouse works on other computer ?????

Rundlll has caused an error in MMSYSTEM.DLL. Rundll will now close.?

Q: How do you fix this riddle? I have Windows ME. My mouse does not function after I gor the error message. I want to save my documents before I use the rally CD but it is hard to do so without a mouse. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

A: To chide this problem:

Use a text editor (such as Notepad) to edit the System.ini file (this file is found in \Windows)
Add the following extraction to the [boot] section of the file:
drivers=mmsystem.dll


Save, and then close the System.ini file
Restart your computer
