How do I replace a missing mfc80.dll file on a Vista computer?

Q: I'm exasperating to install a program and I get 1904 errors. These usually are caused by damaged Visual C++ 2005 components. The I've tried reinstalling MSVC++ 2005 from the Microsoft.com/downloads, but it doesn't balm. I ran sfc /scannow, and the log file shows that mfc80.dll could not be repaired because it is missing. Any ideas on how to fix this? Thanks.
