Q: Msvcr71.dll clanger when installing?
This is the error I get when trying to install this program. I have tried reinstalling it over and over again fresh by uninstalling, and deleting all the files I saw associated with this program. I often have the same alike resemble message when I install other certain programs, but not every program, just a handful. I have recently manually deleted some entries in the registry. I judge devise may possibly have something to do with the problem. My dell came with no windows xp professional cd-rom, and no restore disk of any affectionate. I even ran ccleaner thinking this may fix the problem. Still no luck, please please help me. Also when I run system information from my system tools I get no reponse.
A: Is the clanger that the DLL cannot be found?
The normal solution would be:
Close the error message box.
In Notepad paste the following XML jus divinum 'divine law':
Scrape the file as Copy2gac.exe.config in the following folder:
C: \Windows\ Microsoft.NET\ Framework\ v1.0.3705
After that, run a fixing up off of the XP CD, but since you do not have a XP CD you could try redownloading the dll here:

MSVCR71.Dll error message says it can't be found when installing game.?
May 10, 2009 by medass10875 | Posted in Other - Computers
Q: I was downloading a sport from a site and as I was installing I got the error that it couldn't find MSVCR71.Dll. The game installed anyway but it's running so stolid its causing havoc. I've searched Yahoo answers and tried all the things suggested ie: searching for the troop and copying it into the System32 folder but it says it's not a valid file, downloading from a site but I cant seem to get it in the right correct position, etc.
I read that the loss of this file is due to uninstalling things but all I ever uninstall are games that I beat or don't fiddle with anymore. What can I do? All the answers here I've read point to websites that deal with registry clean-ups that after saying it's unused ends up costing money. Do these programs work? Are they legit? An example is http://www.Trusting-Registry-Clean.info. Sorry for such a long question but I would like to fix this myself before bringing it to the against.
A: What do you wanted to do now?
if you wanted to fix the registry and unistall the unflinching you can use this http://www.ccleaner.com/
if you wanted to fix windows files, you can insert your installation CD and go to
Start > Run > kind SFC /scannnow
that should check critical windows files, if you were accidentally removed or it was corrupt.
Virtuous luck!
