Computer is stuck in loop, nv4_disp.dll error. I plugged video adaptor into wrong place at 1st.?

Q: Like i said. i plugged the adaptor into the bad place at first which was why i didnt get an image. I turned the comp off then plugged it into the correct place. From here, the circle began. Keeps starting up, past the Windows Xp loading bar, then blue screen, displaying nv4_disp.dll error. So booted in Repository mode, went to device manager, saw two drop down boxes for display(not good). Checked their Resources tab and one of them has no resources. Would like to conscious which one to disable?that's if that will fix it i.e. Please help

A: Manage sure everything is plugged in secure on your motherboard and both ends of the cable for the monitor is in 100%. Also verify to see if any pins in the cable on either end are bent. That could cause some issues. Most will show as many outputs for monitors depending on how many keep an eye on connections your cpu has. 2 is normal when you only have 1. The other would just be disabled, dont worry about that. Worst took place, try to repair this with your OS disk.

Good luck

nv4_disp.dll?

Q: I installed a new web-based prey yesterday, and today after it had loaded, a blue screen popped up. It said that it was the nv4_disp.dll error, which I found was some kind of unending loop problem. What is this and is it a problem?

A: That means that you have a incorrigible with a driver. From the sounds of it, an NVIDIA display driver. Either reinstall the driver, or check to see if NVIDIA has an updated driver on their site.
