Q: My PC was rather hold back in starting up. However, on start up and when it tries to get to the desktop i get the error mesage,'Failto start SHLWAPI.DLL was not found reinstalling perseverance may fix this problem When I press ok on this message i then get the message,'Error loading Explorer.exe. You must reinstall windows'. This I cant do as i don't have the disk. I tried starting in unpolluted mode but got the same message.
A: The misconduct said "You must reinstall windows". It wasn't lying to you. If you're missing an worthy DLL that causes Explorer to not load, you're screwed. Whether or not you have the restore CDs, it doesn't change the fact that you have to reinstall the operating system.

Q: on my old solidified drive with Windows ME installed on it, everytime i boot the computer and get to the log in dialog, it gives me the following inaccuracy: "Explorer.exe has caused an error in SHLWAPI.DLL." this is part of the Windows Shell, so i know it is serious.
