How do I fix res://C:/windows/system/SHDOCLC.dll/dnserror.htm that comes up when I try to access internet?

Q: Started quickly--no display of anything but this screen whenever I try to access internet.


A: means u don't have internet link connected at that time. connect to the internet first.

Q: *SOS* my lap top {an older IBM meditate on pad} outta the blue lost internet That was last March... So I just recently got a new internet went to use it and I get this Res://c:\system32\shdoclc.dll/dnserror.Htm.. Can I "without even trying" fix this my self. I am by NO means that compter literate as in all that.Not sure how I can do this and WHAT exactly this system 32 wickedness means. Can anyone please help me and give me any somewhat simple direction?? peAce~

Is the this misprint happens only with Internet Explorer. Or you are not able to connect to internet at all. If you don't use any other browser, then consider downloading Firefox.
If you are competent to connect to internet through firefox but not through IE, then try following the instructions mentioned here.

Otherwise, try running the program from here

The above mentioned are based on the assumption that you are using windows xp.
