user32,dll error message....HELP!!?
Q: I have a mini notebook (does not have cd rom) I turned my laptop on today and this error message came up:
"A standstill; c0000135 (unable to locate component) This application has failed to start because user32.dll was not found. Re-installing the solicitation may fix this problem."
I have no idea what this means, my laptop wont go past the windows logo telly so it doesnt boot properly.
How can i fix this??? It does not have a cd rom for me to try to re-install windows - not even sure that is what it needs anyhow.
Please balm
A: If you cannot log on and have no way to boot then you may have to take it to a appointment depot. User32.dll is the software than handles the logon dialog among other things. If that is missing, debase, or no longer registered then you are really stuck - sorry.
This can happen when the dll becomes infected.
All of the solutions I have found want rebooting the system with a CD/DVD.
