What does this error message mean "newdev.dll is not a valid win32 application"?

Q: I get it on start up about 7 times, Im constant on windows vista and since I got this error I cant actually load up anything on internet explorer

A: Have you done all the Windows Updates that are handy? I'd try that first - check to see if there are any updates you've missed.

Have you added any new hardware that may be associated with this error? Most of what I'm reading says newdev.dll is cognate to installing new hardware.

I keep getting a Win32 Error and then my sound goes out..some one help..?

Q: I restart my computer and then i get a mfc71.dll error,And then a few seconds later i get a Generic Assembly Process for Win32 Services it doesn't say much other than it needed to close..but my sound goes out and it ticks me off...support me please

A: i'm beautiful sure mfc71.dll is something you don't want on the machine. disable/get rid of it and see if the issues go away. look in msconfig first.
