Q: I am competition a Dell Dimension E521 with IE7 and Java SE 6 Update 3. I am working my way through grad school online and since I updated Java I have not been accomplished to submit my papers through the school's website. These two Java Plug-in Fatal Error messages keep popping up. I end up having to email them as attachments shortly to my professors. In addition, I find that since I updated Java I can't play any games either. I found a similar resolved question from about 5 months ago that suggested reinstalling Java (Update 2 at the however, I think), and then supposedly after about 5 min. of running IE and Java a popup would appear for Java SE 6 Update 2.

Supposedly, Sun Microsystems was apprised of this at the time and options were available, but I can't seem to find them anywhere, much less decipher them.

Any help out there?

Many many many thanks! :)

A: Try to uninstall the aforesaid versions of JRE installed on your OS. The previous JREs are not removed automatically and they keep using your processor, RAM honour to load and also using some space off your Hard disk.

If you use windows go to Start >> Settings >> dominate panel >> add remove programs >> locate and remove every JRE previous version such as 1.5 , 1.4 or even 1.6 update 1 and 1.6 update 2 eliminate all them and restart your system.

VMware buys SpringSource with Microsoft, Red Hat in mind

VMware's possessions of enterprise application development firm SpringSource yesterday laid bare its intentions to move beyond controlling access to man hardware with virtualization and to move up the stack to applications. The shift could further usurp the role of traditional operating systems such as Microsoft Windows and Red Hat Linux.

"This is damned significant in terms of VMware Inc.'s competitive position with respect to Microsoft and Red Hat, and long name to the enterprise," said Bernd Harzog, the CEO of APM Experts , an IT consultancy. "This says that they're going to be an operation platform play, not just an infrastructure play."

"I don't know if they were ever wearing gloves, but if they were, they only took them off," he added.

VMware bought SpringSource for $362 million plus $58 million in VMware variety options to retain SpringSource talent such as CEO Rod Johnson and CTO Javier Soltero. Among SpringSource's assets are the Fly Platform, a Java enterprise application development platform; the Groovy language; the Grails Web dedication framework; and Hyperic Inc.'s systems monitoring technology. SpringSource is also a key contributor to several open begetter projects including Apache Tomcat Java server. The deal is expected to close in September.
