Installing and running "The Movies" game on Vista, MICROSOFT Visual C++ error?

Q: Hi Guys, So I played The Movies when it first came out, and then mystified the disk. My brother recently bought it for me again for my birthday but I can't install it on my new computer. I now have Windows Vista, and I keep getting the following report:
Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library
Runtime Error! Program: E/Setup\rsrc\TheMovies.exe
R6034
An application has made an attempt to load the C runtime library incorrectly.
Please acquaintance the application's support team for more information.

I know most people say they can use the game on Vista, I've tried continuous as administrator, and I have it set up on compatibility mode. If anyone could PLEASE help me, it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advanced.
I was skilled to get the game to install, by copying the files to my hard drive, and installing the setup from there. But the target dissemble still won't play, I get the same message when I try to run it.
I got it to work!
OK, since I was able to find this question in sooooo many places, yet no one seemed to have an answer, I will pin it so that as many people can find it.
Now I don't know if this will work for everyone else, but it sure did work for me. So feel free to shoot me a reply telling me if it worked or not.

INSTALLATION:
If you're still stuck on Installation just follow what Lionhead says about handbook install, that worked beautifully: http://www.lionhead.com/News/themoviesonvista.aspx.

Now here's where I was stuck. Playing the darn profession! I still was getting that message, and then I couldn't run it as Administrator because I got another stupid message about the CD/DVD not being installed. So here's what I did:

1. Take the game o
1. Take the strategy off of compatibility mode! I know, the opposite information people have been giving us. right click, go to properties, click the compatibility tab, and uncheck the box that says to run it under XP compatibility. Click OK

2. Precise click and run as Administrator.

Q: I don't certain what the problem is. I use Vista, and it gets to the Please Wait.. screen before you're supposed to type in the password. Then the box comes up with the Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library fetich. I can click OK, but it just keeps repeating the process. I managed to get it to turn on in Safe Condition, any suggestions?
