Help fixing Runtime Error 3051?
Q: I am using a program called Hunger strike Break Basketball, and every time I open the program it gives me an error message called "runtime error 3051". Underneath that it says....
"The Microsoft Jet database machine cannot open the file 'C:\Program files\Fast Break Basketball\game.dat'. It is already opened exclusively by another purchaser, or you need permission to view it's data."
I googled "runtime error 3051" and it said to purge the check from the read only box in properties but that doesn't fix the problem. I tried changing all the permissions in the properties as well. Still no serendipity.
I was using this program last night and it was working, but now I just can't figure out how to fix this error. I've tried uninstalling/reinstalling the program as well. Any ideas what the hornet's nest could be?
A: Your MS Access DB documentation is opened exclusively, if you have MS Access on your computer try to open that file (path in your message) and close it...
It should clarify your problem...
