Can anyone help me with Visual C++ runtime error? - "The application has terminated in an unusual way."

Q: I had a disturbed with the VirusBurst and was up all night trying to fix it, which eventually, thankfully, I did. However upon reboot, I kept getting a CLI devotion error (Failed to initialise properly - 0xc0000135) which after some Googling, I found was a problem with the ATI Catalyst and needed an introduction of .Net Framework so I decided to install V1.1. So far so good. Installed dotnetfx.exe quickly and question. BUT (why does there *always* have to be a "but"? That would make a good question on its own methinks! lol) when I try to install the SP1 confidence fix, I keep getting:-

"Microsoft Visual Basic C++ Runtime error! - The application has requested the runtime to terminate in an unusual way."

I've been Googling and searching and reading for what seems like HOURS and I'm unflinching others must have had this problem so can anyone PLEASE advise me how I can solve this, either by posting the answer here or giving me a helpful link - or links?

With apologies if my story on the error message wasn't very good. I just ran it again with same message so written it down word for word. :)

The devotion has terminated in an unusual way. - It then suggests contacting Microsoft's developers for advice etc.

Does that lend a hand more?

I STILL don't know what's causing the problem. I have noted the suggestion to uninstall and install again which I'll do if I don't get any further help but if I can try/do something else first, that would be exclude. Thanks again peeps. :)

A: examine like your Visual C++ installed is corrupted try re-installing Visual C++.

Q: Every habits I try to burn a disc using Yahoo! Music Jukebox an error message comes up that says:

Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library

Runtime Error!

Program: ...am Files\Yahoo! Music Locomotive\YahooMusicEngine.exe

This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Please contact the application's support crew for more information.


Then it closes the program. Does anyone know how to fix this?
I also use Limewire Basic and Windows Media Trouper. Limewire used to give me problems but only when I used both Limewire and Music Jukebox at the same time.

Also, I'm using a Toshiba Shadow laptop, Windows XP Home Edition 2002, with SP2.

Introduction

Yesterday I got a call from my companion, or in actuality he sent me a communiqu over MSN. He wanted to distinguish if I could keep from him dream up a program with a very specified essential.
