i cannot open email attachment i get error message visual c ++ runtime library error can you help please?

Q: the full runtime error message is:
pr c:\programfiles\internet explorer\IXPLORE.EXE
i am not very computer literate so need step by step retort cant open a simple excel s/sheet

A: Try to salvage it first...You know when you click on attachment and you three choices, open, save, and something else i forgot what is..but either way, just chose come to someone's rescue instead of open. Then it should let you open it once its saved and asked for you to open it

Q: When unceasing Trend Micro Internet Security, a message pops up, with Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Error, Trend Micro/Internet Collateral/Patch.exe I'm unable to update with this problem, what do I do to rid of this? Thanks A lot!

A: I also had this conundrum couple of days ago. I tried to uninstall and reinstall trend micro but it did not work. I found these threads on internet

My problem solved after I delete old java updates, and left only the most recent one.

Start>be in control of panel>add/remove program : find Java and delete old updates if you have more than one.

I undeviating it! it wasnt anything to do with the drivers or windows or anything, it was to do with the copyright protection stuff because my computer ...
