Does defragmenting or using a registry cleanup tool on an iPod affect it?

Q:
A: Since there is no registry on the iPod, then that would have no essence. Defragging that iPod will do nothing to speed it up because any slowing of the iPod due to fragmentation would not effect the promote of the the song of movie that is being played.

A: Most of the bringing off claims made by companies that sell registry cleaners are pure fantasy. Removing the wrong key can skedaddle you with a computer that will not run or a program that will not work. Using Windows Live OneCare "full scan" is presumably the safest and good enough for all users.
