Is it safe to delete invalid registry entries?

Q: I have Casual Cleaner 2.0 on my Windows XP PC. Upon running the Registry cleaner, it came up with 220 invalid entries. Is it conservative to delete these? Should I somehow backup my system before I delete them?

A: More than 8 years i have been deleting shut-in registry entries and nothing has gone wrong.
I suggest you use WinAso Registry optimizer.

How i can check that a registry cleaner is actually clean the all invalid registry entries.?

Q: I scaned my computers registry from a registry cleaner, but I m in fear that is it really cleaning the invalid registryies or not. I think that it is not compeletly scanning all registry entries. One more think I fabricate a invalid registry in "regeditor" but it is not showing me that invalid registry. So how i can chk abt this "is my registry cleaner is working OK or not"

A: investigate it manually by typing regedit in run.
