A: It sounds like you impecuniousness more than a registry cleaner; website re-direction is a sign of infection.
Perhaps try SUPERAntiSpyware (free). Installl and update, then effect a complete scan. Hopefully that will sort any nasties out.

Do you have anti-virus installed? I hint at scanning with that also. If not, Avast! Home Edition (free) is good - it offers an option to 'dedicate a boot-time scan', which I believe is very effective (even if it does take some time).
