Are either or both system mechanic 8 or Migo Registry Repair 5.0 any good for registry repairs?

Q: Nothingbutsoftware has a wonderful in stock on both and I am always being told by free PC scans I have over 200 registry repairs needed. Has anyone had experience with either or both of these.

Is there a free program available that cleans AND repairs registry errors?

Q: I'm taxing to fix a few problems, and I've tried a few different scan programs, (Registry Booster & Registry Mechanic) but the shareware trials are study only. in order to repair the errors, you have to buy the program.
anyways, the scans are turning up over a thousand errors. so i unmistakeably need to do this.
also, I'm running windows xp

I don't have knowledge of about the other programs the guys listed, but I used this one (advanced system care):

It works great and can speed up your computer, fix your registry errors, and defragment. By the skin of one's teeth play around with it for a bit. It goes really fast. They also have an upgrade to the pro version. I got this free on http://www.download.com by Cnet.
