What do you think of PC Tools Registry Mechanic, or more to the point of any scanner whose free trial will fix?

Q: the first half of problems it claims to have found, but requires a foothold before it will fix the second half?
A: I lower :-( upon any such product. To me a program is either free or it isn't. If it doesn't do the whole job for free... it isn't free.
