How do I remove registry files/keys when the program is already deleted?

Q: ok so i deleted a team a few programs and they still show up in my start menu. i go into Regedit and i hit Ctrl+F and i type in the program. is there a program to remove the fist over registry keys?
A: use CCleaner, it will unarmed out all of your left over registry entries. Make sure you backup the registry before you fix all errors. CCleaner will ask and do this for you.

Q: I don't requisite to manually regedit search and destroy references to programs I've removed. Can't registry cleaners do that for me?
